2D model of the Maas River available for downloading

This model describes the event that caused flooding in July 2021 with an extreme high discharge (3200 m3/s). The model contains the river Maas in the Netherlands between Lixhe and Keizersveer. The model is developed from 2017 to 2020, and updated to the geometry of 2019 within the project KPP Hydraulica Schematisaties (Rijkswaterstaat). Boundary conditions are converted from WAQUA simulations by Rura-Arnhem. The model has not yet been validated with these boundary conditions, this is planned for 2022.

Extensive documentation is available and can be received by contacting Jurjen de Jong.

The model is available through the repository (see Download section).
