Future of 1D river modelling

Future of 1D river modelling

One-dimensional (1D) modelling of river processes is essential for answering key questions in river management, research, and engineering. Delft3D Flexible Mesh can be used to this end. However, not all the functionalities that you desire may be available yet. In setting the path of future 1D modelling your insight and expertise is necessary. In order to provide users with the best advice and modelling software, we ask you to provide us with input such as for instance:

  • Which processes do you want to model in your projects?
  • How do you do that now?
  • What do you like about your current approach (and what not)?

  • What would the software require to help you further?

  • How important is a User Interface for your work? Do you need only a basic one or should it cover all functionalities?

  • How do you want to be involved in the further development of the Delft3D FM software?
  • Are you interested in contributing to pilot projects/models? Do you have clients that might be interested in cooperating in this context?
