When adressing a model crash or bug, please remember to include an entire model setup in your post that reproduces the crash or exposes the bug. Also add the XBlog.txt file. This is necessary information for people that are trying to help you. Including your model setup can be achieved by adding the zipped run directory (excluding output) as an attachment to the post.

Dear Shanas,

We are using Intel Fortran Compiler 11.1 + MS Visual Studio 2008 on a WIN32 platform. That works fine and we intend to keep that this way. There are no other compilers on the Windows platform that we support "officially".

However, XBeach is an open-source model and an "official" support for specific compilers mainly depends on whether a compiler is used by the community. So, feel free to try other Fortran compilers. If you want to use a specific compiler that does not work instantly and you can find out what's wrong, please send us a fix.
