Applying vertical layers for cliffs

Good day all,

XBeach has the facility using a bed sediment composition with different layers, which extend within the entire domain (see B2, B3 in the attached sketch). I would like to implement layers confined to the cliff area only (eg. C1, C2, C3 in the sketch).

Can these layers (C1..C3) be implemented providing 'nan' values for the sea area in the map file?  Or is there any other possibility?

Have a nice weekend
