Longshore transport - Tide boundaries

Hi all,

After running through several XBeach examples I have been very impressed with XBeach's capabilities.

However, as it is not possible to specify spatially and temporally varying boundaries to the lateral boundaries of the domain does this mean that the alongshore sediment transport is governed by the energy created by breaking waves at the nearshore alone? I.e, the model does not take account of the littoral drift along the shore.

Thanks in advance for any clarification on the matter.

Kristopher.
